Vincent Centofanti Named UC MBAL Scholar

Local student Vincent Centofanti has been selected by the University of Charleston as one of only six Master of Business Administration and Leadership (MBAL) Scholars, the school announced Thursday, January 20, 2011.

" Vincent joins an elite group of UC undergraduates who have performed at the top of their class, while taking on a challenging schedule that has included several business oriented courses," says Bart Morrison, dean of the UC Graduate School of Business.

MBAL Scholars is an accelerated program for talented undergraduates who want to move quickly through their undergraduate program and enter directly into the University's MBAL program. It is academically rigorous, challenging students to meet the high expectations of the faculty and local business leaders with whom they come in contact through experiential studies.

The Accounting major from Charleston, W.Va., is on track to earn a bachelor's degree in three years, and an MBA two years later.

The University of Charleston is an independent, co-educational, residential college located in the heart of West Virginia, with approximately 1,500 students from 35 countries and 34 states. It is ranked #11 among regional colleges in the South, and is the top-ranked regional college in West Virginia, according to U.S. News & World Report.
