University of Charleston Announces Lindsay Stahlman as a Fall 2012 Peer Educator

2012 Mar 29

Lindsay Stahlman from Ripley, WV will be one of University of Charleston's Fall 2012 Peer Educators. Peer Educators are a small group of upperclassmen who have gone through a rigorous selection process. Having made the transition from high school to college, they are willing to share their experiences with first-year students as they begin their college careers. Each Peer Educator participates in an introductory university class with a group of first-year students, lives with those students in first-year housing, provides opportunities for involvement in campus activities, and acts as a personal liaison for the first-year students as issues arise. They represent a variety of majors, hometowns, athletic teams, and cultures, but all share one passion - to help first-year students make a smooth transition.

The University of Charleston is an independent, coeducational, comprehensive university located in the capital of West Virginia, serving approximately 1,400 students from 37 states and 22 countries. The University offers 22 academic undergraduate majors, three master's degrees, and a doctorate in pharmacy. The University's mission is to educate each student for a life of productive work, enlightened living, and community involvement.
