Local Student Ryan Moran Selected to West Virginia Collegiate Honor Choir

University of Charleston student Ryan Moran has been selected to the 2011 West Virginia American Choral Directors Association Collegiate Honor Choir.

"I am very proud of Ryan for working hard and earning this distinction," said UC Director of Choral Activities Joseph Janisch. "It is a great opportunity for our finest members to be part of this great organization."

This year's Collegiate Honor Choir is being directed by Dr. Tim Sharp, executive director of the American Choral Directors Association. The group will perform at the Clay Center in Charleston, W.Va., on February 5, at 1 p.m.

Moran is a Junior from Bruceton Mills, W.Va. and is majoring in Public Policy/ Business.

The University of Charleston is an independent, co-educational, residential college located in the heart of West Virginia, with approximately 1,500 students from 35 countries and 34 states.
